Courses and Workshops
Spike Print Studio offers a variety of courses, workshops and masterclasses suitable for beginners and printmakers with more experience. The large, well-equipped studios and experienced tutors enable everyone to develop their work and learn new skills in a professional, creative and supportive atmosphere.
All the courses are much in demand so please book early.
There are still some spaces available on our July Credit Crunch Summerschool. This is a great opportunity to try something different without the need to commit to a longer course. Ring for the latest information.
You can now download our autumn and winter programme. We have a diverse range of classes and workshops on offer and many new additions. Beginners courses include Print a poster, produce a 3D embossing or discover how to etch. If you have some experience, why don’t you try our intermediate courses ? Working with experienced and innovative tutors, you will be able to confidently develop your art practice.
We have new masterclasses in Japanese woodblock and letterpress. Letterpress is the ‘new black’ and full of possibilities!
For those of you who would like a taster of print we have Saturday workshops in screenprinting and etching as well as gum arabic transfer, aluminium etching and photolino. These are suitable for beginners as well as more experienced artists. We also have a new autumn half term programme which includes papermaking, drawing, bookmaking and a family workshop. Once again, you do not need to sign up for the week but can attend as many 4 hour sessions as you wish.
And finally, looking ahead to spring 2011 we hope to bring you a masterclass with Norman Ackroyd and a chance to experience Edward Dimsdale’s Model Love.
