East London Printmakers

East London Printmakers is an independent collective which promotes the artist’s practice from within a dynamic and professionally led environment.

Established in 1998 as a not for profit constituted voluntary organisation, East London Printmakers supports 30 keyholders, represents 100 members and attracts over 1000 visitors annually.

ELP studio offers exceptional facilities for printmaking, resources for artists’ individual development and opportunities for group exhibitions.

Although there are no selection criteria for membership, East London Printmakers has a wonderful range of talents within its members. There are those with highly skilled technical backgrounds, art school graduates and university tutors, others self taught, innovative inventors, those who fuse printmaking with hybrid media, those with a painterly approach, and those with a cool modern intellectualism.

There is space in the studio for cross collaboration and themed work, but enough space too for individual focus and ambitious solo work. The collective runs an active programme of workshops and open access sessions to foster this creative potential for individuals and generate community-led initiatives.
