Funders

Spike Print Studio currently runs itself by member subscriptions, its learning programme and print sales. It does not receive regular or core funding.

In 2004 we received an Arts Council England Grants for the Arts award of £20,000 to employ a Development Manager to research a business plan.

In 2005 the Arnolfini Collections Trust awarded £16,000 to support a set of six Limited Edition prints.

In 2006, a successful application to the Esme Fairbairn Foundation was awarded to fund a new Director’s post (until Sept 08).

In September 2007, we received an Arts Council England Grants for the Arts award of £4,230 to help us build this website.

We held a retrospective of Peter Reddick’s work in December 2007. Peter set up the Print Studio – known as the Bristol Printmakers Workshop – over 30 years ago. He is one of this country’s leading wood engravers and still sits on the Print Studio’s Management Committee. We were very pleased by donations from members and UWE to support the framing of his show amounting to £1,500.
