Spike Print Studio runs a volunteer programme for people wanting to gain work experience and skills. We will attempt to match your areas of interest with work in our busy office for as long as it suits you. This could be:

Studio Director: Gill Nicol

Studio Technician: Edward Talbot

Gill Nicol is the Studio Director and has been in post since Feb 07. She is responsible for delivery of strategy and line manages three part time employees - Office Manager, Studio Technician and Master Printer - and oversees the work of temporary staff, volunteers and consultants, with the support of the Management Committee. Gill is well equipped to deliver these changes. She has an MA in Printmaking (with Distinction), and has shown work in this country and in Europe. For the last eight years, she has worked for a number of arts institutions including the Henry Moore Institute, Leeds; engage (national association for gallery education; Ikon Gallery, Birmingham and Creative Partnerships. She still retains a freelance role within arts education, and working with artists and artists groups.
Irena Czapska is the Office Manager/Studio Administrator and responsible for the efficient running of the office and studio, co-ordinating classes and courses, and managing interns and freelance tutors.
Edward Talbot is the Studio Technician.
