Courses and Workshops

Spike Print Studio offers a variety of courses, workshops and masterclasses suitable for beginners and printmakers with more experience. The large, well-equipped studios and experienced tutors enable everyone to develop their work and learn new skills in a professional, creative and supportive atmosphere.

All the courses are much in demand so please book early. We still have places on some of the courses for Spring 2010. We have an exciting programme for Spring and Summer including a UWE MA Student day where you can be taught by an MA Student.  Expect it to be different!

Nigel Oxley returns to deliver a talk in June about his experience as a former master printer at Kelpra Studios where he worked with R B Kitaj, Joe Tilson and Peter Blake.

We have programmed several 2 week experimental courses in July.  This is a great opportunity to try something different without the need to commit to a longer course. Also in July we offer you another chance to experience our Credit Crunch Summer School.

We have Saturday workshops in screenprinting and etching as well as gum arabic transfer, aluminium etching and photolino. These are suitable for beginners as well as more experienced artists.

And finally, looking ahead to autumn we will bring you Model Love by Edward Dimsdale – the date is to be confirmed.
