Studio Inductions

Studio inductions take place on a Saturday at or near the beginning of each month, for 1.5 hours. You can choose to do the induction in screenprinting or etching, both of which will give you a good understanding of the studio. You need to show a small portfolio of work to support your application for membership.

Cost: £15.00

10am – 11.30 am screenprinting induction

12-1.30 pm etching/relief induction.

Membership

Artists may choose from a variety of memberships which allow for flexible access and membership rates.

Full membership (key-holder)

Suitable only for experienced printmakers. This membership bracket provides the artist with 24 hour access to the print studio three days a week. 
Cost: £40 per month by standing order only.

Standard Member

Suitable for less experienced artists who may require technical assistance. Access during technician’s hours (currently Tues 10-9pm, Wed 10-6 and Thurs 10-6 ) or with experienced keyholder. Cost: £30 a month by standing order or £40 per calendar month

Artspace Member

This membership only applies to studio holders within Spike Island. Access during technician’s hours (as above)) £22.00 per month (additional days at £5.00 per day)

Associate Membership

This arrangement is suitable for those who have facilities elsewhere but wish to enjoy the benefits of being affiliated with Spike Print Studio, for example you may hold work in the Spike Print Studio portfolio and you are invited to submit work for any exhibition opportunities. 
Access to facilities during technician’s hours. Cost: £6.50 a month or £5.50 pm if paying by standing order PLUS £2.50 per hour studio use

Student

Three days a week access during technician hours – materials to be paid for on a daily basis.
 Cost: £18 per month.

Casual Rate

Cost: £6.50 per hour, by arrangement
