I draw inspiration from the Chew Valley landscape - an area of outstanding natural beauty at the foothills of the Mendips in South West England, where I live. My prints explore emotional and psychological states through the use of semi-abstracted images; often close ups of the landscape taken from drawings and photographs of the surrounding countryside.

The combination of a variety of media, (textile/ ceramic/ paper), with both traditional and contemporary print processes, (screen print/ woodcut/ laser/ digital photography), allows me to build up layers of texture and silhouette in my prints; exploring the gradual construction of the self over time and articulate the links between past and present.
