My current work focuses on the human body, particularly the nude, within the mediums of printmaking, painting and works on paper (inks and charcoal). I find the human figure can provide a constant change and challenge, making it an interesting subject to study. I’m not trying to get a likeness of the model; it’s more about being absorbed in the making process and what I can really do with it. And at the same time, exploring the body, the shapes and colours it makes, its surroundings, plus showing the stillness within the body.
