Big Print Day

When: Saturday 2 July

Where:Unit10,St.Catherine’s Place,Bedminster,BS3

This summer, Monika Rycerz and Aoife Barrett are leading a printmaking project at Unit 10 together with St. Mungo’s for some Road Roller Printing action!  Throughout the month of June they will be creating a series of large-scale relief prints about the changing landscapes the people at St. Mungo’s have witnessed and their impressions of Bristol city.  This project is about transitions, thresholds, new possibilities and social engagement.

St. Mungo’s is a wonderful charity doing great work in helping to rehabilitate homeless people in Bristol.   These large scale relief prints (72×36 inch) will be printed using a steam road roller (yes!) during a public Big Print Day (2nd July) and the final works will be on show in the Control Room for two months where we will then auction them off to raise money for St. Mungo’s.

To make this project a reality we need as many hands on as possible!  If you are interested in getting involved with this project in anyway please contact us at unit10bristol@gmail.com

The workshops will run on Wednesdays and Thursdays evenings, 6-8pm from Wednesday, 8th June until the Big Print Day on Saturday, 2nd July. The workshops will take place at St. Mungo’s, New Street, Bristol.
