Half term Monday 27 May to Friday 31 May 6–9pm
Led by Gillian Thomson
A 10 week introduction into photopolymer, a light-sensitive plate that etches in water. Produce detailed and sensitive images from hand-drawn, photographic and digital sources.
Transform your drawings and digital images into something new. Learn how to emboss and create relief plates, produce experimental drawings and learn how to output and
expose digital positives using Photoshop. When etched, these low toxic plates print
in beautiful fine detail and rich blacks. Over this 10 week course, you’ll be encouraged to multi-plate print and experiment with colour
and chine-collé. You will pick up tips and tricks and have the time to really hone your printing skills.
