Explore ways in which laser cutting can
be used as an exciting digital tool in the printmaking process on this new 5 week course based at KWMC: The Factory. Learn how to produce basic vector and jpeg files that can be laser cut into a range of materials including wood, lino, acrylic, paper & card. Explore how this innovative technology can be used to produce blocks and plates for relief and intaglio printing to be utilised and developed at Spike Print Studio. Sarah Barnes is an expert in laser cutting with 9 years experience. Her particular interest lies in the crossover between digital and traditional printmaking processes.
