You will be guided through the papermaking process and learn how to adapt the medium to all kinds of creative ideas. The possibilities are endless. Students will find the subject and Elaine’s teaching methods completely enthralling and will be keen to experiment themselves using traditional Japanese equipment and materials. Investigate materials, techniques and processes, adapting ideas to create papers for fine art prints or books. Learn how to use pulp printing and stencilling to print imagery into handmade paper. Use pulp techniques and explore image making in hand paper making using stencils, watercolour pencil transfer and pulp printing.
