A course packed with inspiring ideas and approaches to working with handmade papers.
Investigate materials, techniques and processes adapting ideas to create a series of papers for fine art prints or books. You will be guided through the papermaking process, working with coloured pulp fibre, stencil making and watercolour transfer techniques.
You will find the subject and teaching methods completely enthralling and will be keen to experiment using traditional Japanese equipment and materials.
Elaine Cooper is an acknowledged world expert on hand papermaking and a Master Papermaker in Japan.
