A work-in-progress show from Spike Island studio holder Samuel Fordham.

‍
Calling for the need to embrace a Dionysian spirit, Divine Service explores the role of individual and collective dance in a life-affirming philosophy. Using the monotype process, the dancers' movements, gestures and body are transcribed to the copper plate and printed through an intaglio press. In this way, time is distilled, and the entirety of the dance is captured on both plate and paper.
