RISO - 2 day workshop
2 DAY course led by George Hounsome with John Coe
Fancy making prints that are beautifully layered and full of surprises? Then come and play with Riso!
Over the 2 days, you’ll discover the magic of Risograph printing - a unique process that’s a bit like screen printing, but with a Japanese machine that looks a lot like a photocopier.
Perfect for beginners and established creatives, this hands-on workshop will introduce you to layering colours, experimenting with textures and mixing things up using drawing, collage and text.
On day two, we will focus your ideas to help create an edition of prints or a folded zine.
We’ll finish with a group print swap, so everyone goes home with a set of prints made by members of the group.
Riso printing is fun and fast with a little bit of unpredictable beautiful magic - a great way to get creative and learn a new process.
George is one of our established tutors and currently leads the Year in Extended Illustration course. She has years of experience teaching print and illustration at all levels and is one half of Pirrip Press. Find out more about her work here.
John will be joining George and bringing all of his riso knowledge and huge experience as the Creative Director of Pressing Matters magazine.
